Indicator Phrasing

English: number / % of children registered in Child and Youth Friendly Spaces

French: nombre / % d’enfants enregistrés dans un espace adapté aux enfants et aux jeunes

Czech: počet / % dětí registrovaných v „Child and Youth Friendly Spaces”

What is its purpose?

The indicator assesses the number or proportion of the affected children registered in Child and Youth Friendly Space (CFS/YFS).

How to Collect and Analyse the Required Data

1) Use secondary data (of the local authorities, schools, etc.) to assess the number of children in the targeted location that are eligible for participation in the CFS/YFS (commonly aged 5-17 years).

2) Review relevant records of supported CFS/YFS to assess the number of registered children.

3) To calculate the indicator’s value in percentages, divide the total number of children registered in CFS/YFS by the total number of local children eligible for participation in CFS/YFS. Multiply the result by 100.

Important Comments

1) Disaggregate the data by gender, age groups and specific vulnerabilities (e.g. belonging to a certain ethnic group).
